No Excuses is an easy favorite for any drummer that’s into Alice in Chains. The intricate and melodic groove makes for a unique foundation to the song and without it, it just wouldn’t be the same. I don’t always have my bongos with me at every show and this is one of those unfortunately. The bongos enhance the melodic characteristics of the part but sometimes I have to settle for just the toms. Regardless, it’s so much fun to play and I love how iconic the beat is and I hope it gets more recognition.
